Mitta Pub
The historic and recently refurbished Mitta Pub located on the picturesque banks of Snowy Creek. A very popular destination for the fisherman, families or traveller looking for a wonderful dining and accommodation experience in magnificent surroundings.
Mitta Airport
Mitta Airport (privately owned) is available for visiting tourists, pilot training and air ambulance medical evacuations. Running parallel to the Omeo Highway, Mitta Airport is one of only two airports in the Towong Shire. Pilot information.
Mitta Cemetery
Established in 1867, the 3-acre cemetery is situated on Giltrap Road. Worth a walk around although to see the generations of the old Mitta families. Around 40 Chinese were buried outside the cemetery perimeter in the 1800's

Mitta Golf Course
A hidden secret, the Mitta course is a magnificent 9-hole (par 72, ACR 68, 5780m) scenic delight. Golf Club Details.
Mitta Mitta Primary School (no 887) was established in 1869, then known as Snowy Creek State School. Today this well-equipped magnificent school has a small student population and excellent community support. The school celebrated it's 150th aiinversary in October 2019.
Mitta Emergency Services
Emergency Services are situated right in the town. Mitta has a one-man resident Police Station and there is a combined purpose-built SES-CFA station manned by volunteers. Ambulance Victoria operates a well-equipped ambulance service and is available 24/7. For all emergencies call 000.
The Butcher's Hook
The Butcher's Hook craft shop in the centre of town offers a wide array of crafts, all sourced locally. With a wide range of postcards and cards made by Mitta based artists and photographers, you will be sure to find a special memento from your trip to the Mitta Valley. Right next to the hotel, this building was the ex ANZ Bank, reputed to be the smallest bank building in Australia.
Communications
Communications Telstra 4G (only) is available in the town. A local UHF repeater operates on Ch1. A community television translator provides a local free-to-air television service, funded by donations.
Situated on the tranquil Mitta Mitta River, the Mitta Caravan Park has a high reputation as a well-run family oriented desintation. The park offers a range of camping options but booking during peak periods is essenetial
Magorra Park Multi-function Community Centre
Used for community & private events, kindergarten and football.
The centre is also headquarters during the Mighty Mitta Muster
St Joseph's Catholic Church
Currently the only operational church in the Mitta Valley, St Joseph's was built around 1889 and has had recent renovations. Services are still conducted.
Swimming & BBQ
The picnic and swimming area on Snowy Creek just behind behind the Mitta Pub is a favourite place, particularly during the warmer months. This is also a great place to throw in a line, catch a trout, pan for gold or just sit and take in the beauty.
Historic Precinct
Mitta's origin is based on gold mining and the historic precinct (adjacent to the Pioneer Mine) is great starting place to view mining artefacts.
Mitta General Store
Has been extensively & magnificently renovated is the centre-piece of the town.
The store offers Australia Post services, some emergency supplies, fuel, great food and soft-drinks.
The store now has a licence to sell bottled liquor.
